Opera offers faster browsing for Android

Opera has launched the latest beta version of its popular mobile browser for Android mobile phones.

Opera Mini 5 beta for Android has been said to give fast access to websites and services. This is achieved by compressing data up to 90 per cent before sending the information to the phone. Resulting in significantly improved page loading and speed.

With a simple, easy to use interface and features such as speed dial, tabbed browsing, password manager and bookmarks. Opera Mini brings a desktop-like web browsing experience to mobile phones.

There are more than 50 million Opera Mini users on various different mobile phone platforms with the browser now available for Android. Android owners can download the browser from the Android marketplace.
