Samsung Omnia i900 Review
Samsung Omnia i900
User Rating: Samsung are just on top of their game right now, the Omnia i900 is no exception. Another truly gorgeous phone, with a sleek platinum finish, you may just want to look at it rather than use it. When you do finally start using it, you’ll find that Samsung have refined their touchscreen features, making this arguably the best phone they’ve released. It uses a similar interface to that used by Microsoft, so should be pretty familiar to most people, and makes use of different touch features; tap, drag & drop, making it fairly easy to manoeuvre around. It has a pretty ample screen too, only a smidgen smaller than Apple’s iPhone.
It holds a 5 megapixel camera, that may not be the best phone on the market, but it’s still a very decent camera. The features the camera has are brilliant as well; face-detection autofocus, smile detection, auto-panorama, LED flash and a digital zoom. It pretty much has everything a camera needs.
The music player is good too, and supports most formats, and this phone boasts some of the most impressive in-built memory of any phone on the market; 8-16gb, with the option to add a further 8gb on memory card, for those not good at maths, that’s potentially 24gb.
This phone is brilliant, it has great battery life, and doesn’t crash like other touchscreen phones. It really is remarkable. It may well be the perfect phone.
Summary:
- Good Points: Everything about this phone is a good point.
- Bad Points: If I’m being extremely harsh, some more recent phones can now boast 8 megapixel cameras, but that’s being particularly harsh.
- Others to Consider: LG Viewty GC900, Apple iPhone.
- Free on Contract with: Vodafone.
