In terms of specifications the X6 has the same processor as the 5800 but has more memory with it being available in 16 or 32GB. The camera is 5 megapixels as opposed to only 3. And the biggest change is the touchscreen, it is the first of Nokia's phones to have a capacitive touchscreen rather than a resistive one. This means that the touchscreen is very responsive and easy to use with fingers, where a resistive one isn't. It is a joy to use and makes the phone seem a little faster. This is a very welcome improvement to Nokia devices and we hope to see more of their handsets with a capacitive touchscreen.

The camera as said is 5 megapixels, which makes picture quality a little better to those taken with the 5800 but the pictures are still not great - they are still a bit noisy. Trying to take a good photo with out putting the phone on a stable platform is difficult. With no stabilisation, blurry pictures are often the result. Have a look at our results here

The audio capabilities of the X6 are among its best features. The phone has stereo speakers built in and also comes with a stereo bluetooth adaptor for wireless listening. As well as an easy to use music player, there is an FM radio and music store.

Running on Symbian Series 60 it feels a little outdated and there is also a delay in opening applications. There are upsides though. It comes loaded with Ovi Maps, which gives GPS directions for free. Also web browsing, as with most Nokia smartphones is excellent.

Overall this is a slick looking phone, which is unfortunately let down by the operating system. However for those who want a Nokia device, or who are looking for a touchscreen phone on a budget, this is certainly a contender. It is great for music, GPS and web browsing.
