The phone looks quite stylish with a bronze bezel and backing plate, which is now available in gold. The front of the phone however looks a little uninspired, with the sensors and forward facing camera on view. There are also three buttons on the front, two of which are touch and one is physical but also a microphone. The touch buttons for starting and ending a call are not very responsive. Unfortunately the touchscreen is this way too. The slide / flip up display reveals a physical keyboard. With the display slightly slanting at a good viewing angle, the keyboard can be used with the phone sitting on a desk. The keyboard has well spaced out letters and one of the easiest to use although the spacebar is off to the right and not centred. One little worry with the slide out mechanism is that it could break easily if the screen is pulled. This we didn't try and do not recommend trying.

The operating system on the phone is Symbian OS and took a little getting use to. For exisiting Nokia smartphone users it will be familiar. Web browsing is fantastic, it loads fast and displays websites well, especially ours. Websites can be shown in full screen. It is good for music, and has stereo speakers built in. GPS is also great on this phone and comes with the free Ovi Maps application.

This mini version of the N97 has been achieved by reducing the size of the battery and the memory is only 8GB instead of 32GB. The phone is also slightly smaller in width, height and depth and weight.

Overall this is a neat little phone and for those who like using a physical keyboard, this would be worth considering.
