This handset is set to be another competitor to the touchscreen and smartphone market from Nokia, and from the looks of the promotional photos, it would appear that it is set to be a very good phone.

It’s got a very good 3.2 inch screen, which is a fairly standard size amongst these types of handset now, and it’s got a really nice 640x360 pixel resolution for viewing websites, and videos etc... However, slightly disappointingly, it is set to have a rather poor 2 megapixel camera with video recording capabilities but no flash or autofocus.

It is set to have most of the nice features expected from a modern phone; a 3.6Mbit HSDPA feature for fast surfing and sharing of information, built-in GPS (which is an increasingly popular feature), for further connectivity it will have the obligatory Bluetooth feature; however, it will not feature Wi-Fi, which so many phones feature these days.

Further to these features it will have an in-built accelerometer, allowing it to be used in portrait and, most importantly, landscape for viewing web-pages and videos. It has a rather poor 70mb of built-in memory, but it possesses a microSD slot compatible for up to 16gb of further memory.

Being a Nokia it’ll be easy to use and practical as expected, and again it should be expected to have a very good battery life, something else Nokia’s are synonymous with.

Weighing in at a delightful 113g, it is surprisingly lightweight too.

It should be a decent handset, and at £130 for a sim-free handset, not too pricey either. We can certainly afford to look forward to this offering.

Summary:

  • Good Points: Lightweight, good battery life and a good screen.
  • Bad Points: No Wi-Fi feature is disappointing and a poor camera let it down.
  • Others to Consider: Apple iPhone, Samsung Tocco Lite.
