LG KM900 Arena Review
LG KM900 Arena
User Rating: LG are really excelling in the touchscreen market right now, and the KM900 Arena is the next step for LG. It’s a stunning phone, with almost too many features to list. The only negatives to list are that it isn’t a smartphone, and it doesn’t possess an 8 megapixel camera, other than that it’s almost a perfect phone. The beautiful finish to the phone makes it great to look at, it is somewhat smaller than the hefty iPhone, so it fits in the palm much more naturally; it does mean the screen is a little smaller, yet still, at 3 inches, it’s pretty impressive. The 480x800 pixel, high resolution screen, is at the cutting edge of high resolutions screens. It has a fun “cube” concept interface, allowing you to rotate the cube, with each face offering different features.
As mentioned, it doesn’t have the camera that some of the major contenders have, instead it is equipped with a fairly decent 5 megapixel camera, which will do most of the things you would need from a camera. The music player supports nearly all music formats and it has fantastic connectivity and internet access.
Orange however, has inexplicably changed all the internet and connectivity features for their contract phones, so they are to be avoided if at all possible.
This phone is stunning, and is testament to LG’s supremacy at making touchscreen phones. Unfortunately, some customer feedback has suggested that it can crash and freeze occasionally, which is a shame. Nevertheless, this is still a fantastic phone.
Summary:
- Good Points: Beautiful aesthetics, fun interface and fantastic high resolution screen.
- Bad Points: Has been known to freeze for no reason, and its camera isn’t as good as some competitors.
- Others to Consider: Apple iPhone, Samsung Omnia i900.
- Free on Contract with: O2, T-Mobile, Orange & 3.
