LG KF300 Review
LG KF300
User Rating: In recent times, LG has become synonymous with sleek, desirable and innovative touchscreen phones, so it might come as a surprise that they are still making alternative hand-sets; and that is what the KF300 is.This phone is a flip phone, a style that has gone out of fashion in recent years; however, this phone is marketing itself as an alternative to the flashy phones available, and is instead a phone for the less technology savvy.
It has a sizeable keypad, making texting very easy for those with less dexterity, and the keypad is very responsive which is nice to hear.
The KF300 has a decent enough 2.2 inch screen, with a standard 240x320 pixel resolution. This is good enough for the majority of phone users, add to this the nice option to change the font size from “very small” to “super large;” this is useful to those who struggle to read the sometimes minute text on phones; however, the size of screen is limiting to the larger fonts.
This phone, unfortunately, doesn’t have most of the standard mod-coms; GPS, Wi-Fi & accelerometer, it also only features a paltry 14mb memory, but that can thankfully be expanded with a microSD card.
The music player isn’t particularly good either, uploading music onto it is fiddly and difficult. The camera is pretty poor too, just 2.0 megapixels with no flash or autofocus, despite these factors the battery life is pretty good.
If you’re someone who doesn’t need all the fancy features of the modern phones, then this phone will be ideal.
Summary:
- Good Points: Good battery life and useful font-sizing options.
- Bad Points: A poor camera and a poor built-in memory.
- Others to Consider: Sony Ericsson W715, Nokia 6700 Classic.
- Free on Contract with: Orange.
