Is Apple making a small iPhone Nano?

If you have been keeping up with the latest Apple rumours lately, you may have been aware of the rumours about Apple making a smaller, cheaper iPhone, the iPhone Nano.
However the latest rumours suggest otherwise, saying that Apple are not making a smaller iPhone, only a cheaper iPhone.
This could mean that the iPhone will stay the same size as the current one, but other factors such as camera quality or storage size could be smaller to allow the iPhone to sell at a cheaper price point. This does not mean that the next iPhone won't be as good as the current iPhone 4, just that there may well be as well as a new iPhone 5 with all new features, a cheaper version too.
We prefer the idea of a smaller iPhone with good specs, rather than a normal iPhone with less specs.
